Did you read Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series? Did you not feel as though the last book in the series, where a grown man (Jacob Black -Werewolf) imprints on the infant Reneseme, was just trouble waiting to happen? That whole romantic scenario made me sick because it was just pedophilia waiting to happen? How can our popular media promote sickness like that?

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with those feelings about Breaking Dawn. I as a mother was taken back by that as well, I think that there is an innocence that was in Breaking Dawn involving that situation. I am not defending it and do think it should have been thought out better by Stephanie Meyer.
Thank you for your comments, I think you have brought something for everyone to think about. How does characters like that desensitize us as a society into thinking this sort of thing isn't so bad?
